Ah Po's first 7th

Today was ah po's first 7th. Bata granny was there.

Under fourth bro's wife stewardship, the children worked together to prepare the stuff to be used for tom morning visit to the cemetery. She was a systematic person. She followed line by line according to the instructions listed by the taoist priest. However, bata granny had other thoughts. She said: " I have witnessed tens of such ceremony. It is different from what you guys are doing now." Fourth bro's wife said: " Different priests had different procedures. We have to follow according to the instructions." Second bro's wife said : "The same priest also presided the same ceremony for her decreased mother. The instructions were also somewhat different from the current instructions. There is a struggle between the new and old school of thoughts. There was some debates and finally the new school triumphed.

Still not learning from the lesson learnt from the event. The transport incident surfaces again. At first, the second bro did a advanced booking for 3 taxis to ferry the group of 11 members to and fro the cemetery tom morning. Then the youngest bro said that it is not cost effective and suggested to use Ying's van or catered for a mini bus instead. Then the third bro said: "Why tell me so late? If I know earlier, I would have catered a comfort minibus. Now the office is closed. What shld we do? " Everyone take for granted that somebody will take care of something. These things would have been avoided if we have prior coordination. There was some arguments initially. But finally some compromise was made: Ying's van and teckie's car.

The ritual began at 11pm sharp and ended at 1230am. The crowd dispersed around 1am to prepare for tom's journey to the cemetery.
