Behaviour

I take public transport to work everyday. I have to take a bus to train station and transfer to train, which will bring me to my office. The whole journey takes 45 mins. I see a pattern. During peak hours, most of the passengers in a single decker bus, would be standing and crowding around the doors. From the bus stop, you can see visible spaces at the back of the bus. But noone seem to want to move in. Usually, the bus driver will "seek" the cooperation of these people to move in, so that the rest of the people can hop on to the bus. The effort is usually infertile. The former will just "stay rooted" to the ground. Without fail, the same routine happens day after day. Everyday, there will be people, who can not get on to the bus. They are disgruntled by the failure to get on to the bus, which is possible if each person in the bus take one step to the left.

The same pattern can be seen in a double decker bus, which boasts more seating places. People simply crowd round the entrance and exit. Nobody bother to go to the upper deck even when the LED reads: "29 seats available". The same can be said of passenger's behaviour on the train. They simply "love" to crowd around the door.
