2006 Flash Updates in the family

It has been awhile since I last hit the keyboard. Here are some updates for 2006 as follows:

• Caiyi and XueJing started the wedding ball running. The couple finally tied the knots on 7 Jan 06. It happens to be the wedding anniversary of Irene and CM.
• During 2nd day of the CNY, Mary and Andy first dropped a hint that they would be getting married soon. One month later, they finally made an official announcement that they would be wedded end Apr 06. Congrats to the new couple!
• Lynn's Girl was born on 19 Mar 06 around 640am. She was a six pounder and 19+ inch long at birth. According to paparazzi's report, she has very pretty lips. Seeing is believing. Like her mother, she is going to reign in the baby contests!
• Annual QingMing exercise began at 530am on 27 Mar 06. There were 2 convoys. As usual, there were some hiccups and surprises. To sum it all, there were more "Officers" than "Soldiers". However, all ended well. For those, who had tried their luck at the night's 4D draw, Ah Gong's car number appeared jumbled up in the 入围.
• On 1 Apr, we went to send BATA Ah po at Changi Airport T1 at 2.30pm. She was thin and frail. She was speaking in a soft and husky voice. Her China grandson came and brought her back. She might be leaving Singapore for Haikou for good, although her visa was only valid till Oct 06. It was a tear jerking moment. She was the last of Ah po's batch around.
