About the maid

There was an discussion about the number of maids employed to look after ah po since she was first admitted to hospital in the last century. Guess the current one lasted the longest. 2 yrs 7 mths.

We were told by someone. There were altogether 8 maids including the current one.

1st one - filipino maid. 2nd one onwards all indonesian ones. Can't really remember the sequence. I remembered one 18 yrs old one who ran away within 1st 10 days of work. The last I heard, she ran to the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore and was deported home. Then there was one very experienced one, who went home when contract expired. She hid her hepatitis history from us. We knew it only when she told us during her last days with us. She was a good worker. Poor lady. Lost one of her family members while working for us. There was another one who came after her. This lady was from rural part of indonesia. She "pretended" to act blur. But later, her fox tails revealed. Did not keep her for long. Could not recall anymore.

The current maid would be going back to Surabaya this month. Initially, the plan was to transfer the maid to first aunt after letting the maid returned to her hometown for 3 weeks. The agency was informed and details all finalised. But the first aunt's son changed his mind and poor maid would not be coming back to Singapore indefinitely.
